Speculative worlds: What if AI was a caretaker?

LullaLab is a project developed for the In Loco Parentis research project hosted by Kulturværftet (The Culture Yard) Denmark and funded by Ars Electronica. LullaLab seeks to explore the effects of artificial intelligence in the process of developing Artificial Embryo Models.

Timeline: 2 weeks.

Role: AI Prompt Engineering, Audio Engineering, Installation Production, Concept Ideation.

Collaborator: Zhuoyuan Mai, Jiwon Jang, Haram Jeong, Jingjing Sun.

Tools: Artificial Intelligence, Plug Data, Touch Designer.

The project seeks to explore this through considering how AI can function as a caretaker during this process, adopting aspects of care in technology that speculates a future of new systems and biological processes.

Inspired by studies and experiments run in external institutions, this project develops conceptual AI processes utilising writings and data on growing stem cells through sound and vibration.

The prototype consists of artificial intelligence model software, audio programming, and visuals produced via Touch Designer.
